Corporate Identity System, 2001
W.R. Rooney was an old Pittsburgh commercial painting contractor. Founded in 1928, they never had any kind of distinctive corporate identity. In 2001, owner Tim Rooney asked me to give the company a logo on par with much larger companies; he wanted to raise his perceived brand value.
The main graphic device on the collateral is a stylized brush stroke that blends into the logotype, Business cards were all printed in four different colors, and why not? They were a painting company, after all…
